Welcome to UYDEL

Uganda Youth Development link is a non-profit making Organization that was founded by a group of professionals in 1993. It is fully registered by the NGO board of Ministry of Internal Affairs with registration No. S 5914/ 1168.

UYDEL programs focus on HIV/AIDS Prevention, care and support to Orphans and Vulnerable Children; Alcohol and drug abuse prevention, and advocacy; Child Rights Protection; Prevention and rehabilitation of children engaged in child labour; and Adolescent Reproductive Health in the districts of Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Kalangala.

Objectives

  1. To engage in activities geared towards prevention and reduction of drug abuse, child abuse STDs/HIV/AIDS and promotion of reproductive health of young people.
  2. To engage in research initiatives, collect and disseminate information pertinent to issues that affect children.
  3. To campaign against child sexual abuse and all forms of exploitation among hard- to-reach young people.
  4. To equip disadvantaged young people with life planning skills as well as livelihood vocational skills.


Target

Youth aged 10-30 years who are vulnerable to exploitation and consequently to HIV/AIDS specifically:
• Children commercially sexually exploited, victims of trafficking and other worst forms of child labour
• Slum youth
• Street children
• Youth from poor families
